Role/Opportunity This person will oversee BFG's translation and localization support efforts for a variety of languages and products. Responsibilities will include meeting product localization needs across multiple divisions and product lines. - Coordinate translation through internal and external resources. - Supporting translators - Coordination of relevant outsourced localization, translation, engineering, testing. - Carrying out vendor audits and ensurevendors comply with Service Level Agreement - Work with the translation teams to develop and maintain terminology glossaries and language style guides. - Managing assigned projects and maintaining responsibility for the planning, execution, tracking, delivery and closure of such projects, using BFG standard processes and tools. - This includes, but is not limited to: - Creating and managing project schedules. - Creating and managing project quote and budget (budget to actual management). - Ensuring all finance systems data is accurate and kept up to date. - Establishing strong relationships with both internal and external resources. - Providing a regular status to stakeholders on project progress.. - Proposing, defining and establishing effective localization strategies. Constantly streamlining, improving processes, workflows, communication - Create and execute creative solutions to achieve goals.
Qualifications:
Skills/Experience Knowledge of SDL Trados 2009 is a big plus. Bachelor's degree or foreign language equivalent in English, translation and/or a relevant technical field. 2+ years project management experience working in Localization industry preferred. Creative approach to achieve goals in a timely manner and with high quality. Individual initiative and follow through. Track record of managing multipart projects involving internal and external resources and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in foreign language(s) is a big plus. Knowledge of online services and the Internet is essential. Knowledge of HTML, desktop publishing software and translation memories is a definite plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
