BMS is a privately managed international all-day school in the central district of Berlin (Berlin Mitte) attended up to now by 440 children from preschool up to the 6th grade. As closing examinations, we offer our students IB and ICGSE. With each new age group, along with the growth of the number of our students, the challenges to be confronted by us increase as well.

In order to meet these challenges and furthermore, to meet the highest demands of parents and students, we are looking to hire with an immediate effect a Head of the elementary school.

What should schools be like nowadays to train young people to become "life shapers" and to convey them the message that in the future, success is a result of cooperation instead of individual performance and at the same time, teach them solid basic values providing a foothold in a continuously changing world?

Apart from general management of the elementary school, you should ensure the quality of education by the inclusion of international standards. You should identify with our concept of school and education, learning and instruction and develop these further with clever ideas and new views. Moreover, your tasks as head of the school include the optimization of internal processes and working in a future-oriented manner. You will work in an integrating fashion and create a climate of openness at the school. You will promote team spirit within the teaching staff and inspire your colleagues to engage in continuous development. A further focus of your tasks is representation of the school to outside parties in cooperation with parents and external partners.

Qualifications: Skills Required:

You have extensive knowledge about management and organization of school operations, ideally in an international context. Passion for education combined with an above-average dedication are preferred just as high motivation to develop yourself and the school. As a team player with very good communicative and social capabilities, you can handle conflicts productively and mediate between differing positions, make decisions and assert these. We will require entrepreneurial handling and thinking, innovative and organizing capabilities. Equally important is a readiness for continued development as well as self-assured demeanor with excellent manners. First-class language proficiency in English and German are required just as handling MS Office.
