Essential duties and responsibilities:

-Oversee project scheduling and work planning for a team of Programmers, Designers and Support Technicians
-Infrastructure planning and application implementations
-Serve as a strategic partner on the management team keeping the company on the cutting edge of technology and recommending new applications to improve business operations
-The selection of new software and implementation
-Establish and maintain system security and business recovery plans
-Budgeting, Forecasting and Management Reporting
-Oversees the management of the company's help desk

IT Director Job Description:

Absolute China Tours is looking for an IT Director to join our team at our downtown Hangzhou offices. Candidates must have at least 10 years of IT experience including at least 5 years working with Microsoft Technologies such as ASP, ASP.net (C#), IIS, T-SQL and Windows Servers.

Education & Experience:

-Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Networking, Web Development on any related field
-10 years of experience in IT
-5 years working with Microsoft Technologies such as ASP, ASP.net (C#), IIS, Exchange, T-SQL and Windows Servers
-Experience managing an IT team (including Programmers, Designers and Support Technicians)
-Knowledge of and ability to install, configure and maintain network security and firewall experience
-Skill in mastering the application of new technology and researching new methods to improve our business operations
-Experience with the Travel Industry would be a strong asset
-Any Microsoft Certification (A+, MCM, MCTS, MCITP, etc...) would be a strong asset
-Knowledge of any of these languages: Chinese Mandarin(a must requirement) French, Spanish, Japanese or German would be a strong asset.

Technical Requirements:

-Web Development & Databases: HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP, ASP.Net (C#), T-SQL, PHP, MySQL
-Servers: Windows (IIS), Linux (Apache)
-CMS experience such as Wordpress, Joomla or Drupal would be a strong asset
-ERP implementation and management experience
-Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Flash and other Design software would be an asset

Personality Requirement:

-Strong interpersonal communication ability
-Spirit of team work and management skill
-Ability to cope with unexpected technical emergency

Minimum Education: Bachelors

Salary / Pay: RMB 8000/month (before tax) + basically furnished 2 bedrooms apartment accomodation in Hangzhou
