The Campus Coordinator will play a key role on Encountours core-team in Antigua, Guatemala and will be encouraged to fully express his/her ideas, creativity, and unique talents. This is a demanding position in a young and fast-paced organization. Highlights:
Responsibilities: The Campus Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of college students in the U.S. and Canada to organize volunteer and adventure trips to Guatemala. - Recruit and select Encountour's Campus Representatives and Trip Leaders on college campuses throughout the U.S. and Canada - Maintain regular communication with Campus Representatives and student Trip Leaders, and assist them to assemble volunteer groups - Provide pre-departure email and phone support for volunteers and Trip Leaders - Work closely with Encountour team-members in Guatemala and the U.S. to develop new volunteer and travel programs - Create volunteer documents and support materials - General office support - Occasional visits to NGOs and volunteers in the field - Be available 24/7 in case of emergency - Support the team in any area not specifically mentioned above
Qualifications:
Qualifications Required: - Fluent English - Excellent written skills - Confident telephone manner - Attention to detail and excellent organization skills - Excellent time-management skills - Ability to work both independently and in a team environment - Outgoing, friendly, and flexible personality - Willingness to work some weekends - Enthusiasm Qualifications Desired: - B.A. or B.S. degree from a U.S. university - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Proficiency in Desktop Publishing Software - Experience living in the developing world (particularly in Guatemala) - Experience working in a small office environment - Volunteer experience - Campus recruitment experience - Travel industry experience
