Our client is searching for an Underwriting Manager to join this well established insurance company. You will be required to work on the following areas: * Client Servicing In conjunction with the client service team, to be responsible for the provision of insurance underwriting and claims management services to a portfolio of captive insurance companies. Responsibilities to include: * To ensure client work is accurate and prepared to external (client) and internal management review, deadlines and quality control / compliance standards. * Policy administration, invoicing and premium collection. Preparation and review of policy documentation. * Co-ordination of claims administrators, claims recording and reporting. * Production of insurance technical account information. * Preparation of underwriting reports and management information as required by the client company's Board. * Taking minutes of client meetings * Liaison with insurance and reinsurance brokers as required. * Liaison with Accounting Manager to manage day to day cash requirements. * Co-ordination of Board meetings. Attendance and presentation of information at client Board meetings.
Qualifications:
Compliance * Understanding and application of all aspects of the Key Compliance documents to their area of work; Bill of Rights, Excellence Model, etc. * Evidence of good numerical ability within a higher education background with ACII or committed progress towards completion. * 3+ years experience in any insurance or claims related sector. Competent understanding of all classes of cover and commercial insurance portfolios.
