Description: IHF is a small grassroots organization which offers free classes for and financial assistance to students (through sponsorships) for the poorest children of Medan. Our organization is almost entirely run by volunteers from around the world. This structure allows everyone involved to feel part of a family with a common cause. It also means that 100% of donations are spent solely on the needs of our children. Your monthly salary is representative of this organization structure. USD 160 per month is generally equal to a basic local wage. No one within IHF earns above this rate.

As director, you will be responsible for managing the International Humanity Foundation's education center and orphanage in Jakarta. Your time will be divided between local tasks at the center with the children and international tasks for the whole of the IHF. Responsibilities include overseeing the teachers and classes, preparing financial reports, giving tasks to international volunteers, communicating with village leaders to find the neediest children, helping children write letters to their sponsors, seeing to the children's needs, sending daily reports to IHF, taking photos and other tasks.

Qualifications:
We highly prefer candidates who speak and write English and Bahasa and have good computer and leadership skills. You must also be prepared to work long hours and under pressure. Furthermore, you must not give up easily and be prepared to work with the local community. Your room and board are at the center itself so you will be living and working with the children. You must therefore be sensitive to their needs and comfortable around them.

Salary / Pay: Salary: USD 120 - 160 per month for qualified candidates + room and board on site (3 meals a day)
