* Gathering requirements with end users and other internal stakeholders.
* Designing, developing and testing existing/new features.
* Involved in each stage of the development life cycle.
* Working hard and having fun with team/technical leads and other fellow Java guru's developing the coolest, most complex, scalable solutions for our poker applications.
Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate... * BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent desired.
* 5+ years of server-side Java/J2EE development experience, multi-threaded server development and NIO experience.
* Strong Java skills and object oriented design experience, including working knowledge of core libraries, design patterns, JSP and servlets.
* Experience in database design and SQL; DB2.
* Significant development experience in a Unix/Linux environment.
* Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Sense of humor (YES that's a requirement).
* Demonstrated knowledge of version control tools (eg. CVS, SVN).
* Ability to work both collaboratively and with limited supervision.
* Ability to cope with fast-paced and constantly changing environments.
