Description:
Our client is searching for an Oracle DBA to be responsible for supporting and maintaining the production Oracle databases and web logic application servers. You will be constantly analysing and tuning the system to provide an optimal environment for customers and staff. The role responsibilities are: * Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, and production usage.
* Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
* Performs ongoing monitoring and tuning of the database instances
* Plans, implements and maintain Disaster recovery solutions, including Backup and standby DBS
* Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases
* Provides technical support to application development teams.
* Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects/application server
* Provide on call-support after working hours on a rota basis and assist in out of hours System Maintenance Success will be measured by: * Uptime of the databases.
* Uptime of the application servers.
Qualifications:
Skills, Experience, Qualifications: * Qualifications: Degree in IT or Equivalent
* Oracle certified professional with experience at 10g Experience: * 2 years in a pure database administration role
Salary / Pay: Salary circa 35k based on experience
