Gain cutting-edge international business experience through yearlong internships in London. Mountbatten places interns in companies ranging from large multinational organizations to small businesses. Interns work in a variety of fields, but most gain experience in investment banking and financial services. Interns also work in HR, executive search, law, business development, marketing and IT. Today, there are over 150 American college graduates from across the United States working in companies such as UBS Investment Bank, Citi Private Bank, AIG, Clifford Chance, Deutsche Bank, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Merrill Lynch, American Express, IPC, Lovells, Forrester Research, Spencer Stuart, Thomas Miller Ltd. and others. Complementing their work experience, all interns participate in a study program focused on developing global managerial competencies. Interns are required to choose between: [i] MBA in International Business Practice: The MBA degree program has been developed by the Mountbatten Institute [the parent body of the Mountbatten Internship Programme] in conjunction with American International College, School of Business Administration [AIC]** in Springfield, MA. Part I - London: Through weekend seminars, evening classes, and online tutorials, interns complete 7 courses of 3 credits each leading to the award of 21 graduate credits. The sessions cover a full MBA curriculum ranging from leadership to international finance. Interns who successfully pass all aspects of Part I will receive the Diploma in International Business Practice from American International College. Part II - Asia: Interns who successfully fulfill Part I have the option to complete Part II of the MBA program [worth 18 graduate credits] in Bangkok, Thailand following their year in London. The Asia segment of the MBA program offers an intensive semester of full-time academic study, building on the understanding of business theory and techniques acquired during Part I, and expanding this understanding by focusing on emerging Asian economies. Interns who successfully pass all aspects of the MBA program [including the residential semester in Bangkok] will receive a fully accredited MBA degree in International Business Practice awarded by American International College [AIC]. **AIC is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges [NEASC], as well as by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education [IACBE]. Financial assistance in the form of Federal Loans is available to eligible applicants [MBA degree program only]. [ii] Certificate in International Business Practice [CIBP]: The Certificate provides each intern with a personal record, and tangible evidence of a successful year of work experience and training. Successful completion of the Programme leads to the Certificate in International Business Practice awarded by the Mountbatten Institute. The Certificate in International Business Practice also includes registration for and study of two units of a Cambridge Management Award offered by the University of Cambridge International Examinations ["CIE"]*. The units provide a framework for developing the business skills and knowledge needed in front line and middle management roles. Thus, in addition to the Mountbatten Certificate, successful interns will be awarded Certificates by Cambridge International Examinations in: Managing Information and Managing Teams. The Certificate does not carry US academic credit. * University of Cambridge International Examinations ["CIE"] has fully accredited the Mountbatten Internship Programme as a Cambridge Associate Partner.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizens and non-EU citizens (who do not have the right of abode or employment in the UK), with a Bachelor's degree or higher. If you are currently in college, you may still apply provided that you anticipate becoming a college graduate by the beginning of your proposed internship.

Cost Include Description:
The Participation Fee contributes to Work Permit expenses, orientation, placement, certificate costs, plus advice and support of staff in New York and London.
Salary / Pay: GBP 615 (British Pounds Sterling) per month, plus furnished accommodation provided at no additional cost.
