Description: Rapidly expanding professional services firm, providing advisory, fiduciary, asset management and fund administration is looking to recruit a technically astute Group Accountant, with experience working offshore for its Isle of Man office.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting this is a business critical offshore accounting job. The Group Accountant works as part of the central finance team and is responsible for budget preparation, monthly reporting, local office management of finance staff, audit planning and control and tax administration. In addition, they will liaise with finance management and staff in a number of different offshore jurisdictions. Daily you will be asked to prepare budgets, review budget templates for use across the firm and review all final budgets for accuracy and consolidate individual budgets to produce the firm-wide combined budget. Reporting falls under your remit and you will be responsible for supervising the firm-wide month end reporting process by reviewing and ensuring management accounts and divisional reports are accurate and submitted to central finance according to the reporting timetable. Finally you will assist the Head of Accounting in reviewing, developing and maintaining accounting systems, accounting procedures and internal controls across the firm.

To be considered for this well paid offshore accounting job you will be a Chartered Accountant with a minimum of three years experience in a senior management role of an accounting practice or in a senior role working within the international finance sector. You will also bring strong practical experience working with statutory consolidations, including acquisitions and disposals, mergers and joint ventures. You will be able to demonstrate practical experience in preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS and will have used multi currency accounting packages with integrated time and billing systems. Finally it would be useful if you have used before report writing software especially Crystal Reports.
