Director of Accounting/Financial Controller

Length of Position: 18 months

Description: This person is responsible for managing and developing Maximo Nivel's Accounting Department. This includes all accounting, budgeting, and reporting across three countries and multiple business units. This person reports simultaneously to the Founder/Owner of the organization and the General Manager of Cusco, Peru. This person is part of the organization's Executive Team.

This is an excellent position for an accountant that wants to get practical experience in an international setting dealing with multiple countries, multiple business units and foreign exchange.

Highlights: This position is based in Cusco, Peru.

This person will manage the entire Accounting Department and will have 1-2 direct reports and a Tax consultant on staff in Cusco, Peru. This person will also regularly interface with an accountant or bookkeeper in Costa Rica and Guatemala.

This person will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.

This person will lead multi business unit and multi country accounting and reporting, including overall consolidated results for all operations.

This person will be actively involved in the conception, selection, and implementation of a new accounting system for the organization.

This person will work directly with the General Manager of Peru and the Owner/Founder assisting with special projects and analysis of new business opportunities.

Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree required
* Masters Degree preferred
* CPA with 2 years public accounting experience (top tier firm)
* 1-3 years of experience in private sales-service company(s)
* Experience with small, fast growing companies is a definite plus.
* Must be familiar with all of the following areas:
      - Strong cost accounting experience
      - Budgeting and forecasting experience
      - Financial audit experience
      - Financial reporting experience
      - Multi company consolidation experience preferred
      - Experience implementing accounting systems is highly desirable
* Should be a Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller in current position
* This person must be very computer literate and Internet savvy.

Salary / Pay: USD 1,000/month to USD 1,500/month + Annual bonus program
