You will be working at KFSH&RC which is an 894-bed multi-facility, multi-entity tertiary care hospital and one of the leading healthcare institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its mission is to provide medical services of highly specialized nature and promote medical research and education programs, including postgraduate education training, as well as contribute to the prevention of disease. The Role: Assumes responsibility for the organization's Risk Management activities under the direction of the Quality Resource Management Director. Principal Duties: * Coordinates the functions of the Risk Management function under the direction of the Director, QM. * Develops the Risk Management Plan in line with the organization's mission, vision and provision of services. * Facilitates implementation of the Risk Management Plan; Participates in the development of policies and procedures, curriculum for education and training. * Promotes an organization-wide awareness of risk management and encourage participation, involvement and leadership. * Collaborates with Department Chairmen, Directors and Divisional Heads in identifying areas of real and potential risk and developing initiatives for improvement. * Educates hospital staff including senior management and medical staff on risk management. * Collaborates with all relevant services within the institution to identify educational needs in relation to risk management. * Analyzes data to identify risk and potential safety issues. * Prepares and presents quarterly reports on adverse occurrences to executive management. * Participates in performance improvement activities as related to risk management. * Manages the organization-wide Adverse Occurrence Reporting System (AORS). * Coordinates the investigation of actual and potential risks in the organization. * Maintains Risk Management statistics and compliance with National and International standards. * Supports executive management and department directors in designing Risk Management programs within their department * and provides education to Management, Clinical and Medical staff on risk management issues.

Qualifications:
Education: * Masters Degree in health care management or any related discipline required with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse). Experience and other Qualification: * Five (5) years of clinical experience * including 2 years in management experience in a healthcare field required. * Experience in Patient Safety/Risk Management required. * Leadership skills essential. * Strong analytical skills required. * Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or equivalent required.
