Programme Details You'll get all of the necessary training for you to record, edit and produce your own movies, which will require you to become IT literate and familiar with a number of video and sound editing software programs. Programme Requirements To join the paid internship after your training, you need to be Rescue Diver qualified and have 50 logged dives. If you wish to do the training only, you can be open water qualified. We have additional packages that can be added in the advance of the videography training to get you to the correct standard. Please ask a travel adviser for details. Videography, Media Skills & Training Your training will take place in weeks 1 and 2 of this programme. If you have not dived for more than six months, you will need to have a skills review first. The videography course will cover: - How to assemble the equipment - Camera skills including shot selection and contrast - Equipment maintenance - Video editing which includes adding a soundtrack, cropping, cutting and pasting of footage etc - Selling / dealing with tourists Paid Work The internship will be the paid working element of your programme. Your main role will be to record, edit and produce a DVD video of the scuba centre's customers completing their Open Water Dives. This will be these customers' first dive experience, making the video a great souvenir of their stay in Koh Tao.
Salary / Pay: The cost of the programme is USD 1799 for 4 weeks or USD 1899 for 6 weeks. You will be paid based on a commission basis and can earn 500 Thai baht for each DVD you sell
