Description: Coaching and/or playing with Knin Rugby Club is the perfect way to see one of the world's most attractive countries, Croatia. Your stay in the heart of Croatia offers unlimited travel opportunities with the city at the centre of road and rail in between the coast and the inland. The program is continuing to build year on year and from August 2009 needs male and/or female volunteers who wish to play and/or coach rugby in a terrific location.

Knin Rugby Club have gained nationwide and international recognition as one of the most progressive community based sports clubs in Croatia and for the coming 18months are looking to expand our influence and work in the community. To do this we need an increased number of volunteers to complete our 2 year project plan.

Highlights: Included in the program are visa and insurance support. Free Croatian language lessons. Free rugby coaching certification. Free travel with the club.

Croatia is the favoured destination for millions each year and Knin is perfectly located to explore the country. 45minutes from beaches, 2 1/2hours from Zagreb, 3 1/2 from Dubrovnik and only 15mins from Bosnia, your time with Knin Rugby offers the perfect volunteer experience. The weather goes from warm to mild, mostly dry and temperatures up in the 20's into October.

Qualifications:
* Candidates must have completed secondary education
* Certificates in Sports Coaching (esp Rugby) preferred

Cost in US$: 1000 per month

Cost is discounted with longer stay (15% for 3month stay = 2550USD). Paid work is also available.

Experience Required: yes

Experience of rugby a plus. Experience of coaching or teaching a definited plus.

Typical Volunteer: A typical volunteer will be flexible, open and committed. Persons ideally suited to the program will love travel, challenges and learning. Most importantly volunteers are adaptable and friendly, willing and able to involve themselves in a new culture.

Age Range: 17-55

This Program is open to American, Asian, Australian, Canadian, European, Kiwi, South African and Worldwide Participants. This Program is also open to Families, Couples and Individuals

Participants Travel to Croatia Independently

Typically Participants Work in Groups of 3-4

Scholarships are Available. Can be used in conjunction with time discount Holders of Sports Coaching Degrees, Rugby Coaching Certs - 15% discount; Holders of Seoondary Degrees - 10%; Holders of Primary Degrees - 7.5%; Undergraduates - 5%.
