Description: Head of Accounting - Gibraltar

Our client has recently moved their operations to Gibraltar. The finance department is growing and they are looking for a suitable candidate for the role of Head of Accounting.

Reporting into the Finance Director your duties will include:

* Manage a small professional team setting objectives, monitoring performance and conducting appraisals
* Assign tasks to team members in line with the required demands of the business
* Implementation of IFRS
* Implementation of fast close procedures
* Preparation of monthly and annual accounts
* Review financial statements and advise on applicable changes for disclosures

Qualifications: Profile and Skills.

* Professional qualification: ACA/CIMA/ACCA professional level with significant post qualification background or MBA and all round financial acumen
* Experience in a similar position
* Solid understanding of IFRS and implementation or conversion experience thereof
* Ability to communicate and explain procedures to non financial, professional staff and to exhibit an open and consultative approach
* Capability of and experience in managing a team, strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritise and disseminate tasks in line with the required demands on the business
* Excellent communicator with the confidence to liaise across the business at all levels, be credible, confident and customer focused
