Job Description * Researching and writing materials for our books * Working together with our Korean staff to develop content * Full-time (4-8 hours per day) with overtime frequently available * 23-37,000 Korean won (USD 24-39) per hour, depending on experience and qualifications * One-year renewable contract with E-7 VISA sponsorship * Medical insurance 50% * Korean National Pension * Severance pay after completion of continuous employment throughout period of one-year contract * Up to 20,000,000 KRW key money for housing * Reimbursed airfare for VISA run to Osaka, Japan, or reimbursed one-way ticket from home country to South Korea * Up to 300,000 KRW reimbursement per month for Korean classes taken at an accredited Korean language institute * Working hours between 9-6 p.m. M-F * Promotional opportunities available for long-term employment * Assistance with practicalities of living as a foreigner in South Korea This position is only open to professional and qualified applicants in the fields of writing, publishing and editing. The ideal candidate would have at least 1-2 years experience in Korea and have long-term plans to remain in the country. Qualifications:
Job Qualifications * Minimum of bachelor's degree from an accredited university in North America (Linguistics or English majors preferred); Master's degree or PhD preferred * Must be a native speaker of English with both verbal and written fluency * Professional writing experience required (5 yrs w/B.A. OR 3 yrs w/M.A./PhD) * Experience writing educational materials (exceptional applicants without industry-specific experience will be considered) * Verifiable familiarity with American standardized tests produced by ETS * Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, patient and focused * Must work well both independently and in an office setting
