Description:
Implement, Utilize, and Transition formal project management techniques to lead both current and new projects. Direct the project team through the full system development lifecycle (SDLC) of the project--including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and close-down. Initiate and develop program and project work products including: Project Charter, Project Scope Statement, Project Schedule, Detailed Project Plan, and Project WBS. Identify resource requirements and coordinate the assignment and scheduling of tasks among labor categories. Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor and control task progress. Monitor actual project hours and costs against the project/program estimates and budget. Communicate effectively with project team members, management, and project stakeholders on status, issues, risks, and project goals and objectives. Report status to key project personnel through multiple formal communication methods (bi-weekly snapshot reports, project plan updates) and informal methods (email). Track and quantify risks in the Project Risk Tracker and mitigate risks with project stakeholders. Ensure that project deliverable dates are met: create and review project deliverables, submit deliverables to the client, and acknowledge work of project team members through formal communication methods.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Three to Four years experience in customer relationship management and business analysis including direct client interfacing. A minimum of three years experience with the SDLC, web development, web-based application development, and/or business intelligence, database and reporting technologies. A minimum of four years experience providing verbal and written communications to a client audience including: leading presentations and conference calls, composing project status reports and delivering briefings, and developing project documentation (e.g., functional and system requirements, traceability matrix, project schedules). Familiarity with a formal project management methodology (e.g., PMBOK, CMMI).
