The following provides an outline of the roles and responsibilities of the post of Partnership Teacher. The job description for this post will be agreed with the Employee's line manager in the course of the probationary period. The job description may be further amended as the project evolves. All amendments will be agreed as part of the performance management process. Job title: Partnership Teacher Reports to: Partnership Management Advisor Overall role: To support and raise the quality of teaching, learning and attainment of students throughout the school. Support the development and enhancement of the teaching practice of others in the school. Tasks and key accountabilities * Assist colleagues to improve their approach to the planning, teaching and assessment across the curriculum * Prepare and organise lessons in partnership with the PPP school teachers, in accordance with the Teaching and Learning Programme, as advised by the Principal Curriculum Adviser. * Advise the contents of what is taught in an appropriate manner through the selection and use of appropriate curriculum resources and methods. * Support colleagues in producing and locating appropriate resources, or alternative resources when difficulties arise with locating sources of known resources * Advise on appropriate standards of classroom management and discipline by deploying a range of approaches to create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and safe environment for learning * Demonstrate an understanding of the principles and methods of assessment by using effective questioning techniques to check what students have learned. * Alert and liaise with the Cluster SENCO regarding any individual student requiring particular assistance * Contribute to the life of the school by supporting the school's extracurricular activities programme * Carry out other duties as may be reasonably required by the school or line manager Person Specification - Partnership Teachers
Qualifications:
Essential: * Appropriate University Degree qualification * Primary/ Lower Secondary Teacher Training * At least 3-5 years Teaching Experience * Excellent classroom practitioner * Evidence of team player skills * Evidence of highly developed interpersonal/communication skills * Evidence of Differentiation in teaching * Information Technology Skills Desirable: * Management Training qualification * Bilingual English/Arabic (for Arabic/Islamic/Social Studies essential) * Behaviour Management Experience * International Experience
Minimum Education: Bachelors
Salary / Pay: Total Annual Salary and Allowances AED 178,500 Accommodation will be provided. Utilities Allowance AED 9,000 per year For unfurnished accommodation, one off Furniture Allowance AED 15,000 Mobilisation Allowance AED 11,000, AED 5,500 on arrival, AED 5,500 on repatriation Flights - one economy class flight to UAE and one economy class flight to base country at end of contract. Return flight, economy class to base country at end of first year of contract. Visa costs covered. Dependants Benefits Dependant Utilities Allowance AED 1,200 per year (not per dependant) Flights Education Allowance Maximum of AED 23,000 per family with 1 school aged child or AED 38,000 per family with more than 1 school aged child.
