Dive Instructor Position in Greece

Length of Position: Summer season
Dates: 01. May - 15. October

Description: FNEC Dive Centre is looking for 1 Young PADI Dive Instructor. The instructor will receive; food, accommodation (camp), working experience in a Dive Centre conducting courses and experience dives, + 15% of the profit from the Dive Center, in cases of couples applying; 20% of the profit of the Dive Center will be offered.

Fiskardo Dive Center was set up as a department of the Fiskardos Nautical and Environmental Club (FNEC) in 1999. In this sense is the oldest existing dive centre on the Island.

In the year 2005 a new law regulating the recreational dive activities in Greece came to power, and the FNEC dive centre became a PADI dive resort under the registration number S35525 and is in conformity with the new law in Greece as both a Teaching Facility for all PADI courses as well as a Dive Centre controlled for the quality of its services from Bureau Veritas.

The aim of the dive center is not only to generate funds to support the voluntary activities of the club, but also to allow us the opportunity to show tourists volunteers and locals the relatively unexplored areas of the Mediterranean sea without damaging or changing the original character and appearance of the underwater world.

All our equipment is annually inspected from authorised technical institution and every year our services are inspected by Bureau Veritas. A full DAN Europe insurance covers all our diving programs, and as European diving facility FNEC dive centre complies with the European standards for recreational diving activities, offering you the security of the quality services.

Dive Instructor Position in Greece

Highlights: Kefalonia waters are well-known for its crystal-clear visibility. This makes it the ideal place to dive. Since 1999 we have explored all the diving sites around the northern part of Kefalonia and we know the dive sites for any diver,any level & experience.

Qualifications:
Prerequisites:
- speak English fluently
- be a PADI Dive Instructor
- possess a valid driving license
- a minimum 2 years old boat driving license

  • Salary / Pay: 15% of the profit from the Dive Center will be the salary (food and basic accommodation is also covered), in cases of couples applying; 20% of the profit of the Dive Center will be offered.

    The Hellenic Foundation for Youth & Volunteering's Mission Statement: The Hellenic Foundation for Youth & Volunteering (HFYV) and its department (Ionian Sea Research Centre, Fiskardo's Nautical & Environmental Club) is a non-profit organization established on the island of Kefalonia (Cephalonia) in Greece in 1998 and deals mainly with the promotion of volunteering and youth mobility. Since 1999 we are a member of the European Commission supported project, European Voluntary Service and in the year 2003 we have been awarded as one of the 4 best projects in Europe. Parallel to this and since 2000 we are running various internship programs for shorter periods of time (1-2 months). From 2008 we work only with independent volunteers from all over the world on long and short term projects, from 2 weeks to 6 months. The Hellenic Foundation for Youth & Volunteering offers courses, volunteer projects/internships, work camps, and the possibility of learning experiences in the fields of research, rescue and environmental protection.
