Financial Controller - Gibraltar

Description:
Our client in Gibraltar is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to report to the Group Finance Director whose main duties are below. * Responsibility for production of monthly management accounts (circulated to Group Board) and annual statutory accounts.
* Responsibility for timely submission of gaming, VAT, corporate and other regulatory tax returns.
* Set up and maintenance of initial accounting systems, policies and procedures
* Preparation of regular budgets and forecasts for submission to Group Board.
* Primary contact for Gibraltar bankers, auditors, tax authorities and other external bodies
* Responsibility for the provision of daily and weekly business performance reports (including variance analysis).
* Responsibility for control of fixed costs in Gibraltar.
* Proactive approach in the design and implementation of new accounting and business reporting to meet the developing needs of the business.
* Assisting the marketing department in analysing key data.
* Analysis of competitor financial performance.
* Financial review and approval of marketing and technical contracts.
* Member of Gibraltar Board
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required * Formally qualified accountant fluent in English
* Prior experience in a 'senior' financial position
* Excellent accounting and financial reporting skills
* Very familiar with MS Office applications (Excel to a high standard)
* Highly organized and detail oriented with through follow up skills
* Detailed understanding of key business drivers to contribute to commercial decision making
