Description:
The program director is responsible for the overall planning, management, supervision, administration and implementation of the art programs, grant-writing, and coordination of staff and volunteers.

Qualifications:
Program Director Qualifications: * Demonstrated leadership skills and skills in program and people management * Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a team environment * Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. * Experience in grant writing and donor reporting. * A minimum of two years of professional experience in a leadership role in development projects. * A Master's Degree in Educational Administration/ Development Studies/Social Sciences. * Experience working in China and with international organizations, local NGOs, multi-national teams and international collaborations a plus. * Fluency in English and Chinese. Duties: * Create and implement assessment mechanisms for the program. * Oversee art program implementation, evaluate staff and volunteer needs, oversee budget and financial monitoring. * Develop and revise project curriculum and informational materials as needed; participate with team in developing project training manual and session guidelines. * Seek and develop new opportunities that are consistent with the organization's mission. * Identify and assist in the recruitment of volunteers necessary to accomplish the program objectives. * Research and write grant proposals, develop business plans and budgets, research current issues affecting migrant and left-behind children. * Research and analyze new locations (e.g., schools) for program implementation, research new locations for program, and develop and review implementation plan. * Develop government relationships to promote program. * Represent the organization at relevant conferences, meetings, networking events, and other engagements. * Be current on leading challenges, issues, new thinking and personalities in the Chinese education sector that are relevant to achieving the mission of the organization.
