Exportation Department Business Unit Manager
Mexico
Length of Position: Permanent
Dates: Immediate Opening
Description:
This position contains various roles and responsibilities and thus requires an extremely talented, creative, optimistic, aggressive and flexible hands-on leader. The Business Unit Manager for Exportation is tasked with building and continuing the rapid expansion of the Exportation Business (presently focused on the US and Canada) of a successful Mexican specialty glass manufacturer. Our direct customers are primarily glass sub-contractors (a.k.a. glaziers), but we also focus on promoting our solutions to the top architectural firms of the world. The position will be based in Guadalajara with travel to the US roughly every 5 weeks. This position requires outstanding communication both externally with clients and internally with employees and supporting departments. He/she will lead an existing small team of account managers and sales representatives and also search for and hire additional team members. As in any rapidly expanding business environment, managing change will be a substantial element. Enhancing the departments organization with new systems, tools and techniques should lead to improved service and quality to meet the needs of our very demanding industry. The Exportation department is quickly becoming the dominant market of our organization. Another challenge will be to communicate market needs to supporting departments such as logistics, production, accounting, etc. in an effort to increase efficiencies and achieve success together. Therefore, knowledge of how these various departments work and interact would be quite helpful. It is essential that this person can dive into the challenge and have the patience and persistence to master our extensive product lines. Solving problems and determining proactive ways to avoid them, will be a daily endeavor. Toughness, work-ethic and determination are of the essence--this is not a role for the weak or timid. While much of the work will be hands-on, this position will also involve assisting senior management in determining the strategy needed for long-term success. A visionary mind is of great advantage. In addition to the above, stellar account management and sales skills will be fundamental as this position requires traveling to visit existing clients, introducing Cristacurva to new prospects and closing deals! The ideal candidate will already have specific plans to move to Guadalajara, Mexico or even better is here already. We welcome any questions you may have and look forward to your application.
