Company Development Advisor

Description: Working in a start up, supporting the Afghan private sector, and making money in a friendly company: you can't miss this opportunity that will make your CV the strongest!

Global Trust is a young medium size Afghan company that seeks to contribute to the development of the Afghan private sector, in a responsible manner. The rapid growth of the Afghan private sector was done to the expense of quality. Global Trust, with a long-term vision, is committed to ensure that all projects are of the highest standards of quality and are adapted to the specificities of Afghanistans needs and clients demands. Global Trust has been engaged in various projects mostly with the military from the ISAF.

Global Trust wishes to extend its clients portfolio and to increase its capacity and its visibility. Global Trust is thus recruiting an international Company Development Advisor who will work within a team of about 10 program and support staff.
You will have to:

- Provide strategic direction to Global Trust managers, so the company can grow in a sustainable manner;
- Help develop a sound business plan to attract further investments;
- Review and select solicitations issued by the Government of Afghanistan, by the international community and by the private sector present in Afghanistan;
- Coordinate the preparation of bids, draft narrative parts of the bids;
- Build the capacity of Afghan colleagues in the bid development process;
- Develop a communication strategy in cooperation with the founders of the company;
- Develop communication materials (brochure, internet website&) and ensure the outreach to potential clients;
- Ensure the public relation with clients and participate in forums, seminars and workshops on the private sector in Afghanistan;
- Consolidate reports for the clients and for the founders;
- Build a strong administrative team, including mentoring of staff on accountancy, human resources and procurement;
- Contribute to the drafting and / or update of the Human Resources Manual, the Procurement Rules and Regulations, the Health and Safety Plan and the Quality Control Manual;
- Develop tools for increasing transparency and accountability.

Qualifications: - High motivation to work in an Afghan environment and to work closely with the military;
- Masters degree in business management, in economy or in any other relevant field is required;
- Additional civil engineering background would be an asset;
- Minimum of 1 year experience in business management or marketing;
- Previous experience working with the military is highly preferred;
- Ability to train and mentor colleagues;
- Previous experience in Afghanistan is an asset;
- Excellent inter-personal skills and respect to the Afghan culture;
- Ability to think creatively and ability to adapt to changing situations.

  • Salary / Pay: Salary: From $2,000 to $2,500 per month (depending on profile) Bonus: 1.5% per contract acquired by the Company Development Advisor (for contracts above $200,000) Other benefits: Security advisory and support, accommodation, transport, and health insurance provided by Global Trust. 1 week ORB every 3 months, ORB package ($500), 2.5 days leave per months  6 working-days per week

    This Program is open to American, Australian, Canadian, European, Kiwi, South African and Worldwide Participants.
