Global Trust Construction Company is a young, medium size Afghan company (around USD 8 million budget per year) that seeks to contribute to the reconstruction of Afghanistan in a responsible manner. Job Description The Business Development Strategist is responsible for the development of offers and proposals that allow Global Trust to win more contracts. In addition, the Business Development Strategist facilitates strategic company growth, including expansion of the company in the region, and diversification of activities. Responsibilities include: * Opportunity evaluation including identifying and recommending suitable opportunities for GTCC that are solicited by US Army Corps of Engineering, and other private sector organizations that are sponsoring projects implemented in Afghanistan; * Develop, maintain, and execute win strategies for business pursuits throughout the proposal process, including: oIdentify and monitor bid and proposal requirements and expenditures for each proposals effort; - Assemble, organize, and manage proposal efforts, plan and manage all required meetings, provide training, direction and mentoring, assign and monitor specific responsibilities to the GTCC team; - Develop the executive summary, technical and past performance volumes, oral presentations, best and final offer documents and other required proposal related documentation required for bid / proposal submission. - Coordinate development of pricing models and subcontracting plans. - Obtain training and education as necessary to meet or exceed current industry standards for development of proposal capture activities. - Provide strategic direction, identify and present new opportunities for diversification to GTCC managers, so the company can grow in a sustainable manner; * Assist development of a sound business plan to attract future investments; * Establish and maintain working relations with the US Army Corps of Engineers, bilateral donors and other clients in Afghanistan as necessary to establish long term partnership; * Review and revise company profile as necessary to clearly communicate company capabilities and core competencies to prospective business partners and investors; * Develop a communication strategy in cooperation with the founders of the company and develop communication materials (brochure, Internet website, etc.) to facilitate client outreach

Qualifications:
* Masters degree in Business Management, Economics or other relevant field and a minimum of 2 years experience in this field or at least 10 years of experience in business management or related field; * Additional civil engineering background would be an asset * Previous experience working with the military is highly preferred * Previous experience in Afghanistan is an asset * Fluent in English (both writing and oral)

Salary / Pay: Salary: From USD 2,000 to USD 2,500 per month (depending on profile) Bonus: 2% per contract acquired by the Business Development Strategist (Contract average USD 500,000) Other benefits: Security advisory and support, accommodation, transport, and health insurance provided by Global Trust. 1 week ORB every 3 months, ORB package (USD 500), 2.5 days leave per months - 6 working-days per week
