Group Travel in Ecuador - Medical Projects

Description: You and your group members spend 4 weeks providing assistance to doctors and nurses in local hospitals and medical clinics in Ibarra, Quito, the Galapagos, or Manglaralto. Depending on Spanish level and experience, you will be able to rotate through the emergency room, pediatrics, obstetrics, internal medicine, and even surgery, gaining experience by both observing a variety of procedures, and at times providing direct assistance to the physicians.

*** Please note that specific details, such as exact work hours and the type of work, can only be determined by expertise, skills, and attitude. Also, some programs do have special requirements that are need to be accepted.

Qualifications: Eligibility:
* At least 18 years old
* Be a native English speaker
* Posses an intermediate level of Spanish
* Eligible to receive a tourist visa to Ecuador
* Medical experience is helpful but not required
* Volunteers must bring a white lab coat and scrubs
