Dates: Inquire for specific dates

Description: We are searching for a special person who can take our functioning school kitchen and turn it into something really special. We are interested in talking to anyone who thinks they might be able to help "Joey's Cafe" reach it's full potential while continuing to supply almost 300 children with a nutritious lunch every day. You will be working with our local staff, you need to both lead and teach mostly by example. You may also be asked to help organize cooking classes and demonstrations for interested students and possibly some of the parents as well.

Some Spanish would be an advantage however a little sign language and careful demonstration with the occasional translation by one of our students or a bilingual staff member should be quite sufficient until you pick-up the basic Spanish (and you will learn Spanish since you will be using it every day).

Innovative Culinary Genius - Kitchen Manager

Highlights:
* Having hundreds of children race each other to see what you have for them today.
* Seeing the eyes light up when a young boy realizes he just managed to teach his mom a new recipe.
* Having an entire community talk about the dinner you organized.
* Realizing you just invented a new multi-cultural dish.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone to organize and manage our school cafeteria kitchen who understands and appreciates the significance of the terms; additive-free, organic, natural, wholesome and nutritious when a applied to the preparation of food.
* Can you really cook?
* Can you organize a Kitchen?
* Can you lead and teach others by example?
* Are you a talented culinary innovator with high levels of both patience and imagination?
* Can you organize and manage a school kitchen?
* Could you imagine yourself making a soup kitchen more efficient or organizing a multicultural gourmet event for 300 invitees?
* Would you like to invent the peanut butter and banana burrito or a pineapple upside down tamale?
* How about mango strudel or coconut corndogs?
* Does the thought of feeding hot nutritious lunches to 300 children fill you with enthusiasm?
* Do you think you might be able to fix something for a "special event" dinner if we gave you a freezer full dressed duck, a truckload of ripe mangoes, 50lbs of rice, 100 lbs of freshly picked ripe pinapples, an unlimited quantity of bananas and an hour in a good supermarket with a small budget?
