Description: Through our Au Pair in Amsterdam program, you will live as a member of a Host Family, providing a maximum of 30 hours of childcare per week. Some of your duties while living in Holland may include dropping the children off and picking them up from school, interacting and playing with the children, helping them with their homework, helping to keep their rooms clean and cooking light meals for them. Each family situation is different and schedules will be arranged with your Host Family. You may be asked to baby-sit in the evenings, but no more than three times per week and you will receive 1.8 Euro per hour. Au Pairs working in Amsterdam are not responsible for housework unrelated to the children or for managing the household.

If you prefer other cities, Au Pair placements are available throughout Holland and the rest of the Netherlands.

Accident and Sickness Insurance-Included in each program or available through InterExchange at a reasonable cost.

Pre-Departure and Host Country Assistance-Working Abroad and our international cooperators provide pre-departure and host country assistance throughout the entire program. Emergency support is also available.

Qualifications:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 26 and unmarried with at least a high school diploma.
- Have previous childcare or baby-sitting experience.
- Have a genuine love of children, patience, flexibility, independence and a willingness to work hard!
- Be able to commit to a period of at least 10 months (most Host Families prefer Au Pairs who can stay for the school year from September to June).
- There is no language requirement, as most people in Amsterdam speak English.

Salary / Pay: As an Au Pair in Amsterdam program, you receive: A stipend of 300 Euro per month. 200 Euro toward the cost of Dutch classes or your airfare if you stay for 10 to 12 months. 2 weeks of paid vacation per year. At least 1 complete day off per week (usually Sunday). Basic health and accident insurance.
