Experience the sights and sounds of Spain by living as an Au Pair in Spain with a host family in Madrid or Barcelona. The Working Abroad Au Pair in Spain features features carefully screened host families and full support during your entire trip abroad.
Highlights:
The Au Pair in Spain program features: A stipend of 54 to 60 Euro per week in Madrid or 60 Euro per week in Barcelona 2 weeks of paid vacation per year (1 week for 6-month placements). At least 1 complete day off per week (usually Sunday) Help with transportation costs if placed in the outskirts of Barcelona. All Working Abroad programs feature: Variety of Opportunities-A program based on your personal interests or career development needs. Pre-Arranged Work Placements and Housing-Most programs include pre-arranged housing and work placements so you'll know where you'll be living and working before leaving the U.S. Our more flexible programs offer job placement and housing resources as needed throughout the program. Work Permit and Visa Application Assistance-We help ensure you'll be legally entitled to work and travel during your time in the program. Accident and Sickness Insurance-Included in each program or available through InterExchange at a reasonable cost. Pre-Departure and Host Country Assistance-Working Abroad and our international cooperators provide. pre-departure and host country assistance throughout the entire program. Emergency support is also available.
Qualifications:
- Be a female between the ages of 18 and 27 with at least a high school diploma. - Have previous childcare or baby-sitting experience. - Have a genuine love of children, patience, flexibility, independence and a willingness to work hard! - Have basic skills in Spanish. - Be able to commit to a period of at least 3 months (Madrid) or 6 months (Barcelona) during the academic year (1-2 months for Madrid or 2-3 month for Barcelona possible during the summer).
Salary / Pay: A stipend of 54 to 60 Euro per week in Madrid or 60 Euro per week in Barcelona.
2 weeks of paid vacation per year (1 week for 6-month placements).
