Description: Counselors lead a variety of outdoor activities such as but not limited to: mountain biking, orienteering, rock climbing and trekking. A strong emphasis is placed on environmental education, teamwork, trust building, communication and leadership. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times, participating in evening programs and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Highlights: Village Camps has been providing quality summer camp and educational programs to children since 1972. We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our experienced staff for 2010.

Village Camps runs Outdoor Education programs in Switzerland and France, May through October including summer and day camps.

If you enjoy working with children of all ages and are keen to work in a camp environment and have experience in Outdoor Education, a position at Village Camps offers you an excellent opportunity to gain international work experience and establish lasting friendships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications: Applicant will have qualifications and/or extensive experience in relevant activities as well as a first aid and CPR qualification issued by a recognized body and provide us with a Criminal Record Background check. Successful candidates will be organized, creative, flexible, adaptable, reliable, patient and professional and have experience in working with children, preferably in a camp or environment. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and fluent in English. Applicants must have nationality of at least one of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA.

Minimum Education: Diploma/Certification
