Description:
Paid teaching positions--not volunteer jobs. All of the teaching institutions in TeachingChile's network pay our program participants the equivalent of what local Chilean teachers earn. The TeachingChile network of schools includes kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12), universities, and adult-learner language institutes, all of which are hungry for native English speakers to assist in language instruction.
Qualifications:
Native English speaker is a must. Additional skill requirements for applicants vary depending on the needs of the requesting teaching institution. Some positions are conversational in nature requiring no background in teaching English as a foreign language and no knowledge of Spanish; other positions are more specialized such as developing and administering specialized workshops, desiring TEFL or TESOL certification.
