Length of Position: Minimum one year
Description:
Work for one of the UK's leading organiser of Conservation Expeditions as a staff member on a terrestrial based conservation expedition. Positions are available with GVI in Ecuador and Costa Rica. Check out the GVI website for more information. Work is physically hard with very long hours, 5.30am till 9pm or as needed by the expedition. Living conditions are very basic: there is no running water and electricity is only available from a night time generator. However, the setting is beautiful and to some it's the best job in the world!
Highlights:
Live and work in a unique and remote environment. Contribute to the conservation of endangered habitats and communities.
Qualifications:
A strong background in terrestrial biology and conservation, with management and logistical experience would be a distinct advantage. English essential. Knowledge of Spanish also an advantage. Experience of working as a volunteer would also be an advantage.
