Description:
Our Work & Travel Australia program helps you find paid positions anywhere in Australia. AIDE provides you with the sponsorship necessary for the proper visa, along with the support, guidance and flexibility to find just the job you are suited for. Paid positions include: waiting tables, clerical work, telemarketing, sales and service work, production and transport work, seasonal work, and call center work. Prior to arrival we will help you prepare your resume and cover letter for the Australian job market. Upon arrival you will have a pre-arranged consultation with a recruitment consultant who will go through your resume, discuss job opportunities, give housing assistance and review positions that are currently available. This saves you 2-3 weeks of time familiarizing yourself with the local scene and job market.
Highlights:
Accommodations: The first two nights at a local youth hostel are included, but participants are welcome to stay longer at their own expense. This is a great way to meet new people and settle in. Orientation: Participants will have an in-country orientation arranged for them upon their arrival. During orientation, participants will be introduced to Australia, be given advice about finding work and housing, as well be given the opportunity new people. The location of the orientation is within minutes of participants hostel. Also Included: * Special visa sponsorship and documentation to obtain your work visa (US Citizens) * Pre-departure Information * Travel/Medical insurance * Australian Work and Travel Orientation Guide * Airport pickup and transfer to accommodations * First two nights accommodation and breakfast * Advice and assistance with resume and cover letter * Job search advice and access to resources, including Job notice boards * Two job offers * Arrange and book training course (course fee additional cost) * Assistance with finding housing * Access to housing notice boards * Access to internet and email * Email and mail hold/forward * Advice on obtaining tax file number * Advice on opening a Bank Account * Full-time local representative in Australia * 24/7 personal support * Certificate of completion (upon request)
Qualifications:
* Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 * Participants must at least speak at an intermediate level of English * US citizens may work for up to one year on a Work and Holiday visa. (US citizens applying for a Work and Holiday visa will need to show evidence of graduation from High School.) * Citizens of Canada, UK, Japan, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Estonia, Taiwan, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Malta, Cyprus, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Thailand, Chile and Korea who qualify for a Work and Holiday visa can stay for up to one year
