Description: Looking for a cool summer job?

American Village camps allow French children to become completely immersed in a foreign language within their home country by creating a positive environment where it is fun, natural and necessary to use English. We emphasize education through cultural exchange! We have ten different sites throughout France. Our sites are located in small, quiet villages situated in the countryside, in the mountains or by the sea.

We seek camp counselors who are native English speakers, who enjoy working and playing with children, and who are energetic, creative, initiative-takers!

Applicants should be prepared to teach songs, organize various arts and crafts, participate in skits and play sports. Counselors must be capable of communicating to non-native speakers.

Musicians are very welcome to apply, and in an effort to balance our teams, we strongly encourage male applicants!

A TEFL certification is not a requirement. Neither is knowledge of French.

American Camp Counselors in France - American Village Camps

Highlights: Salary for first-year Language Counselors:
* Spring sessions: 700 euros/month plus room and board
* Summer sessions: 800 euros/month plus room and board

Counselors are hired for a maximum of two and a half months, and our season extends from mid-March until the end of August.

Qualifications / Skills Needed: Criteria for employment:
- native English speaker
- enjoy working and playing with children!
- are energetic, creative, and initiative-takers!
- have previous camp counseling / childcare experience
- have a high school diploma
- are from 20 to 35 years old

Since English is the official language at our camps, knowledge of French is not necessary.

Counselors must come from countries that allow tourism in Europe without an additional visa (USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc)
